September 2004 - August 2005: I moved back to France.
I worked in text mining at the University of Nice, in the Virtual Biology Lab (WWW). The aim of my project was to design a methodology to extract functional annotations on genes and proteins from full text articles.
February 2000 - August 2004: Post-doctoral researcher at UCSF (University of California of San Francisco), San Francisco, United States
The aim of my research project at UCSF in Fred E. Cohen's lab was to create a database for Nuclear Receptors and design methods to extract experimental data from the online literature ( MuteXt ). I also designed the KChannelDB and PrionDB databases for potassium channels and prion proteins, respectively.
November 1996 - December 1999: Post-doctoral researcher at the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory), Heidelberg, Germany.
With several European partners and Pr. Gerrit Vriend, I set up the GPCRDB information system to gather and exploit data on G protein-coupled receptors.
